Damage pressure-plate trap

Bedrock-only use case: stepping on a pressure plate deals 4 damage to the player nearest the trap.

What you need

Before placing the blocks

  • 1 Command Block
  • 1 pressure plate
  • Mark or design the area to prevent accidental activation

Expected result

Test after setup

The player within 2 blocks takes 4 contact damage each time the plate activates.

Configure one block at a time

Open the game and match these values

The copy button copies only Command Input. Choose every other value in the Command Block screen.

Trap block — deal damage

Bury the Impulse Block under the floor and place the pressure plate above it. The 2-block radius keeps the target near the trap.

If it does not work

Check these four things first
