When to use it
Prepare a Bedrock world with Survival as its default mode. This is distinct from assigning an individual mode, so an account with a personal override is not a sufficient test on its own.
Before running
Have the owner review the default mode and command permissions first. Apply this before the event starts so player accounts and staff roles can be checked.

What to customize
survival on the first line is the desired default; do not append @a to it. The @a on the announcement line only picks who reads the message. To change an online group explicitly, use the gamemode tool with a separate target selection.
Verify the result
Inspect the world’s default mode setting and test with a player using that default. A staff account retaining a personal mode does not by itself mean the command failed.
When results differ
If some players use different modes, inspect their individual settings first. This command has no player list and is not a replacement for explicit per-account mode management.
