When to use it
Set the main spawn area after building a welcome zone. It does not teleport online players immediately or replace everyone’s personal bed spawn.
Before running
Stand at the intended Overworld location and inspect the floor, headroom, and surrounding area. With no coordinates, execution position matters; a command block elsewhere does not inherit your position.
Follow in order
All commands
Set the spawn point
/setworldspawnRun this while standing in the middle of the spawn area
Spawn on the exact spot
/gamerule spawnRadius 0The default of 10 scatters players around the point; 0 spawns them on it
What to customize
To configure it remotely, use the setworldspawn tool with explicit X Y Z coordinates. If new players should scatter around the point as before, keep spawnRadius at its default of 10 instead of running the second line.
Verify the result
Test in a copy with a player without a valid personal spawn. With spawnRadius at 0 they should appear on the point itself, but if that block is covered or unsafe the game may still pick a nearby standable position.
When results differ
If a player still returns to a bed, distinguish personal spawn from world spawn first. For an incorrect destination, check whether the command ran as a player or from a different execution context.
