Worked examples

The examples below come out of the same generator as the form above, so the commands and explanations always match what the tool produces. Copy one and adjust it from there

1. Set difficulty to normal

Normal is the middle setting most maps are balanced around

/difficulty normal

What it does Will set this world's difficulty to normal.

2. Stop hostile mobs from hurting anyone

Peaceful is what you want while building or testing commands, so nothing interrupts you

/difficulty peaceful

What it does Will set this world's difficulty to peaceful.

3. Set the hardest difficulty

For a survival server that wants more of a challenge than the default

/difficulty hard

What it does Will set this world's difficulty to hard.

How this command differs by edition and version

This is the first example above, run through every edition and version this tool supports. Versions that produce the same result share a row

Every version this tool supports produces the same result, so a command you copy works without version-specific edits
